The conference theme of leadership and change closely aligns with several key goals of the recently launched AUCD Strategic Map and supports the important work that we all do.
AUCD champions positive change in the health, education, social, and economic well-being of people with disabilities, their families, and communities. Positive change requires diverse and resourceful leaders who work hard and find creative ways to surmount obstacles. The 2015 AUCD Conference will examine how we develop strong leaders, support them in their work, and collaborate across the network and with partners in the field to reach our mutual goals.
The AUCD Conference brings together diverse network members, partners from outside the network, and experts from the field to help us all to develop as leaders. We are especially pleased to welcome a growing number of trainees, self-advocates, and family members of all backgrounds who are current or aspiring leaders and create positive change. As always, the AUCD Conference provides opportunities for attendees to grow and enhance their skills, knowledge base, and peer network. Whether a newcomer to the field or a seasoned professional, you will find many venues to share with and learn from colleagues across the network and beyond.
There is excellent quality and great diversity of work being done in disability today, and we look forward to receiving your presentation submission. AUCD2015 will feature over 225 concurrent and poster presentations over the days of the conference on topics ranging from policy to research to state and community projects and much more, offering a multitude of opportunities for fruitful discussion. We hope you will share your work and join us in November to experience the rich source of new and creative ideas that are guaranteed to fuel your leadership and other efforts.
